Description: Back in the early 1970's, there was a housing boom in southern California. Not anything spectacular mind you, just a bunch of boxes built one on top of the other, all over the place. Intended as offices, boiler rooms, cubicles and the like, they did not work out as originally intended. Long term leases turned into weekly rentals, with enough amenities, to make them flats, efficiencies, even a one bedroom or two. A rather portly, bearded guy named Dave Moll had a concept called "apartment house wrestling." This was anything goes catfighting, girls starting out in string bikinis (the craze of that era) they audience would pay 50 bucks a head to cop some floor, bring some folding chairs, and watch these girls rip out hair by the roots. Biting, kicking, eye gouging, slapping, scratching, red, red vino flowing on tap, knees and kicks to the crotch, tit biting and boob mauling--digging those talon-like nails deep into the tender tit flesh, they could rip the bikinis clean off, if it fit their fancy. Obviously, the shrieking, screaming, howling and yelling from the principals, not to mention the drunken yahoody perverts in the crowd, could not be accomodated in a residential area. Hence, to these boxes they went and the girls were turned loose. Usually, the winner got twice as much as the loser, but special grudge matches, had a winner take all attitude. Now, for your viewing pleasure, the archives, chronicles and magazine covers of this underground entertainment. Upcoming---the actual b & w photos of the actual matches. How much fun will that be????
